Design is Future congresstival is an event organized by Toormix and Barcelona Centre de Disseny (BCD) which was born with the main goal to explore the future of design as a tool for the business innovation, an analysis about how is evolving the design profession and finally how it can helps to define the future’s society. It is a meeting place for companies, organisations and professionals, which will share success stories and new design trends and methodologies that are shaping the future.

Design is Future 2016 held its second edition within the Barcelona Design Week frame under the heading “Come to the future”, a campaign slogan which, through its retro-futurist discourse, invite the audience of the event to travel to the future by visiting along three different worlds related to design: profession, business and society. All illustrated through case studies and experiences of interest from around the world. Examples of new design professionals, certifying the usefulness of design to revitalize and make businesses grow and finally the design from the stand point of how to improve life for people and society.

So as a design team we have worked in the co-creation, organization and content curation of the event and, indeed, the communication campaign and brand identity, which is strongly associated to the corporativy designed for the Barcelona Design Week 2016, towards Design is Future congresstival is the main activity organized for the design week of this city.
