This series is dedicated to the quint essential pushcarts (thela) of India. The superstars on the streets that are ubiquitous on most indian cities yet very understated. From colourful flowers to fresh Vegetables, shaved icegolas to flavourful snack that can have your taste buds roaring, they form the cultural lifeline, fulfilling the essential needs of any household across all indian towns.

 

These pushcarts bring back strong memories of childhood cravings, simple pleasures and my roots, The thought of rushing out on to the streets upon their arrival is truly nostalgic.This is an ongoing project for me and through this series will be hoping to document some of the most vibrant and unique carts from cross India.
