Cityscape Drawing 1

Self-initiated project, built upon all of the small buildings and structures that I found myself doodling, which were inspired by the actual buildings and structures that I've sketched here in Washington, DC. There were two concepts behind this piece. One was to combine all of these buildings and structures into a larger, more polished composition, and the other was to have something to work on little-by-little during coffee breaks at various cafés, drawing meetup groups, and late-night coffee-fueled drawing sessions. All work was done with Sakura Pigma Micron pens into a 5" x 8" sketchbook, which I found laying around in the lobby of my building. At no point were any rulers or straightedges used in the process of the drawing.
