Liberty Hill Landing Page

In support of a special upcoming radio campaign, Liberty Hill Foundation was looking for a landing page that would reinforce the spot messaging and introduce ways for new prospects to get involved with the organization. This page had to represent a new and energetic look for the Liberty Hill site while also reinforcing its carefully managed brand. And it needed to adapt to mobile, since listeners might even visit the site on their smartphones after hearing the spot.

This presented the greatest challenge, because their team was nearly finished with mobile adaptations to some main pages of the site... which had become a daunting task within the restrictive framework of Blackbaud’s content management system. After a series of mini-experiments on minor mobile interface elements – including special mobile adaptations that tech support hadn’t believed could be accomplished – we were ready to attempt a highly-customized landing page.

The resulting design involved some creative extensions to the Blackbaud platform, and achieved Liberty Hill’s goal of providing a responsive page with room to grow! After entertaining the idea of a more creative implementation for this particular campaign (included in the last image here) we decided to move toward a design which was flexible enough to serve as a template for in-house resources to repurpose in future campaigns.

What’s more, the content was optimized for search engines – providing Liberty Hill with another useful tool in their fight for social change.
