Each year, the Deposition Reporters Association of California hosts a convention for freelance court reporters from California and across the country. For 2013, they were looking to promote the convention more than ever – both to potential advertisers and attendees. And, because this is their largest event each year, they were also looking to use the 2013 convention as a springboard to elevate the professionalism of their organization and the profile of their brand.
The result was a comprehensive solution, from print to web, from event promotion to event materials. This included a Registration Brochure, online promos, sales materials to attract new vendors and advertisers, a convention landing page on their website, PowerPoint templates, and a complete spread of event signage.
The ”Ride the Wave“ theme helped promote the perks of the Newport Beach location while also referencing some significant recent changes in the field. And a retro theme resonated with an older (and younger) target audience while avoiding some of the design clichés often associated with California beaches.
The result? They sold out the convention with absolutely no room to spare, generated more buzz than ever, and received extremely positive reviews in their post-convention survey. There was a swell of support for DRA's upgraded look!
