Although Downtown Los Angeles has become a premier destination for dining, nightlife, entertainment, art, and more, it still battles a negative reputation from its dark days in the ’80s and ’90s. While the Downtown Center Business Improvement District's main site, DowntownLA.com, does a great job at promoting events, new businesses, and other exciting Downtown LA happenings, the DCBID was looking for a way to share the story of Downtown.
This new website and ad campaign showcases a dynamic Downtown through the stories of people who live and work in Downtown LA – including videos from residents, employees, and business owners. These short video vignettes allow viewers to see the change that has taken place in Downtown LA. Profile pages include links to the favorite restaurants, museums, parks, and attractions mentioned in the videos, and a community blog allows other Downtowners to share their favorite hotspots and memories in Downtown LA.
