Scalpel brings together twelve thought leaders, or ‘surgeons’, from the worlds of film, photography, art, technology, retail, design, fashion, music and celebrity. Surgeons present a profile of their top five emerging talents to expose our audience to the names that will drive future trends.

Scalpel was developed by the dutch agency Amsterdam Worldwide for Pernod Ricard. TwoPoints.Net designed the seventh issue.

Scalpel might have been the most expensive book we did so far. Three different linen spines with silver stamping and lasercut on real wood. We produced 600 copies of these books.
We commissioned Lucía Walter to do the illustrations on the divider pages. She used old photographies she got from a Berlin flea market as a reference, drew them directly on real wood and carved out some parts of the illustration. She sneaked in objects which would give a hint about the following section.
