This iron was especially designed with rapid growing developing markets in mind, like India and Indonesia. Low-wattage engineering will not trip any fuses and make it suitable for rural areas where electrical power infrastructure is less robust. This project leveraged on the location of Singapore as an innovation hub and shows that good design does not need to cost a lot.
