About these illustrations:
Experimental illustrations paying tribute to the Theory of Space in Gestalt Phychology (Teoria dello Spazio Gestaltico). What we re trying to do is to develop a new technique in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator that combines the principles of Gestalt with those of the movements of futurism, cubism and pop art.
About the subject:
We love soccer. We love basketball. We love football, baseball and every other sport.
Most of all we love the real athletes who are transforming any sport into an art form.
Alex Del Piero is one of them and that's why we started with him.
It's no surprise that the great Giovanni Agnelli (owner of Juventus F.C. and Fiat Group) used to call Alessandro Del Piero with the art name "Pinturicchio" after the great Italian painter of the Renaissance.
Credits and Licenses:
Yes we are guilty! We confirm that we have original photos for these illustrations. Sadly, we don't know the names of the photographers as we have found them around the web.
We tried to use the original photos in a fair way. We had no reason to steal anyone's work. What we tried to do is to experiment with one of our favorite athletes.
If you are the photographer or the agency who owns any of our original photos (if you can recognize them) and if you have any problem with us having fun with your work, please, drop us a line. We will give you credits and if you want us to delete the files, we certainly will!
We would also like to give credit to all the masters of Gestalt psychology. Especially my professors in Milan, Nino Di Salvatore, Augusto Garau, Vittorio Prina, Heinz Weibl, Massimo Brini and all the others.
If you are a designer, a blogger or any kind of web enthusiast who likes to share our work with others, we are very pleased about that. Please, be our guest!
Just know that we usually are licensing our work under the Creative Commons license scheme.
So, you can use this image for non commercial projects.
Please, don't use it to express hate, racism or anything negative.
Last but not least: Of course we re available for freelance work. With these or any other technique. Visit our temporary portfolio here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tsevis or drop us a line: info@tsevis.com
