"Disconnection" Contest

Believe it or not, we are facing an epochal event that will be remembered in the years to come.
In this moment, the real heroes are working continuously to find a cure whilst a large percentage of the population are at their homes in quarantine. In a time where we are so physically distant, everyone is trying their best to pass the time; those who cook, those who exercise and those who work on new projects.

Here at Flaco, we closed our studio. However we now continue to play with ideas and concepts at home. For this reason we wanted to create a drawing and poetry competition open to everyone, all over the world. There are no limits of age, cultures, ethnicities and religions, everyone is welcome. When this bad situation ends, the 100 selected works will be physically exhibited in our gallery in Spain as well as being included in a special published book. All works submitted will be presented on our website.

The Brief

When we think of the term "disconnected" we immediately think of the internet – a digital world. However now, in this unstable situation, don't we feel a bit disconnected even though we are digitally active? We associate this word with a negative feeling, but is that really so?

Tell us your ideas about the word "disconnection" through a drawing or, if your passion is writing, a poem or a nice thought. The 100 selected works will be exhibited physically in Flaco gallery in Spain, as well as being included in a special book. All submitted works will be presented on our website.
