City of Gold Coast required a brand for the inaugural 2970° – The Boiling Point. 2970° was a new kind of conference launched in June 2015 on the Gold Coast. Combining three days of thought and action with key note speakers from art, science, technology, activism and sport background.
The brief was to create a brand identity that was sophisticated, flexible and reflected the intent of the event.
The outcome was a simple, clean and well received brand that was commended by event organisers, keynote speakers and attendees alike. The brand successfully positioned a City event as cutting edge, contemporary and highly desirable, something that is often found challenging by the department due to restrictions.
My role included initial concept development and rolling out the brand to a variety of collateral including program guide, attendee badges (in place of lanyards), signage and projection screens.
