More than just a full season of strange episodes, we engaged online audiences further with hilarious outtakes and a candid interview with the cast, posted on Volkswagen social media channels as further content.
Now the show didn’t break any sitcom ratings as far as Hollywood goes, but it did break false impressions about Volkswagen in the region, sparking a 13% increase in test drives compared to the previous year!
Moreover, we proved that it just makes sense to do tactical campaigns differently.

We also put the show back in car showrooms, integrating our sitcom into VW's sales strategy by linking each episode to its relevant car through QR code stickers & spec sheets.
This allowed consumers to solve their dilemmas just like the ones in our films.
We designed branded posters & fun twists on corporate items too.
To further reinforce why Volkswagen cars are a smart buy, we launched an interactive microsite inspired by the inside of a car buyer's brain. Each tiny cell organism a user clicks on gives them more smart info about our cars.
