Two artworks commissioned by Faulkner+Locke Inc./art consultant for the Signia by Hilton Atlanta/Georgia World Congress Center, that opened it’s doors in January 2024.
I was asked to create two artworks(one for the wall and another one for the ceiling) inspired by Magnolia flower in more abstract and organic style.
In my previous work within hospitality sector, I always worked very close with designers and architects for specific room or wall, to create work that supports totality of the interior design.
In this commission, I was asked to create two works, but I was not given any specific place. So it was very difficult to imagine how my art would or should look without seeing the surroundings.
As a result, my work ended up on the red-brick wall. And my second work, that was suppose to be install into the ceiling, is no where to be found. So, in this gallery I will be sharing with you more of different variations of the work, rather then the final result.
One thing that I learn working with art consultant agencies, that they have very little control or say about the placement and installment of the artworks and very limited communication between client and the artist, which makes all process very different and difficult for my way of working.
