Drawing for a guest rooms, with seasonal theme – Winter. Flowering Plum tree is a Chinese cultural and botanical symbol for winter.
The plum blossom, known as the meihua, is a symbol for resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity, because plum blossoms often bloom most vibrantly even amidst the harsh winter snow. As the plum tree can usually grow for a long time, ancient trees are found throughout China.
This artwork has been specially designed for the Winter season guest bedroom, printed on silk and embroidered by hand.
Xitan Hotel is in Beijing in China, next to Tanzhe Temple, build by Zhejiang Cathaya International co ltd.
