Citytv Video iPad App
First video and live-streaming app in Canada
To be first in market, we needed to move fast. UX was complete in 3 days. Yes - that's three days for an entire iPad app. That includes wireframes and an HTML prototype. Functional Requirements came afterwards.

The Citytv Video iPad App became #1 across the entire Canadian App Store.

Information Architecture (IA) // Interaction Design (IxD) // Wireframing // HTML Prototyping // Functional Requirements
Video Player // To ensure the User never left the context of their browsing experience, the video player launched as a popup, akin to the iPad iTunes store. This allows the User to quickly return to where they were browsing.
On-Air Schedule // A User can see which videos are available in-app (dark text), and which are on-air only (light grey text). AUser has the ability to set alerts for each show, alerting them when they're on-air and available in-app.
Citytv Video was #1 in the Canadian App Store.
On-Air Schedule // The portrait version of the schedule differs to the landscape orientation. iPad best practice suggests that you offer the same functionality in both views, but optimize the experience for the orientation. That's what we did here. Landscape provides lots of horizontal viewing space, so we provided a week at a glance. For portrait, which provides vertical space, we provided a more in-depth daily view.
