The Twelve Insanities -
5. “Consequences”
About the art itself: I was unusually enthusiastic in the variety of lines, textures, and patterns I used when creating this image. The imagery is very provocative and, frankly, I had a lot of fun putting it all on paper. A pen and ink drawing is made up solely of pure black and pure white tones. The only shades of grey are illusions created by the position of individual dots and lines. There are almost too many techniques here to mention them all. Hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, the forearm hairs, the rubble on the ground, the wooden box of the blasting machine.... they are all combined to create a clear and unforgettable image. You can probably tell that I like this one.
