今年四月份拍摄于西藏盐井
那是一个落雨的午后
彼时的记忆与色彩有关
瞬息万变的天光映入盐池
所有的颜色在这里复活

All these pictures were shooted in April this year about saltpans in Tibet. That was a rainy afternoon. The memories then were intergrated with colors. The continuously changing daylight poured into the man-digged saltpans. All the colors revived in such Hengduan Mountainous Region.

盐井位于芒康县纳西民族乡
这里是川藏线的重要驿站
借助峡谷亿万年孕育的古盐井
当地从唐代开始制盐
距今已延续一千三百余年

The saltpan lied in Naxi nationality township, Mangkang county in Tibet. This area belonged to one of the prominent courier stations scattering along the national highway 318. It had been more than 1300 years from Tang dynasty that people started salt manufacturing here in virtue of the ancient brine well gestated by mountains and valleys for more than ten thousand years.

每天清晨
村民从水井汲取卤水倒入盐田
这里保留了古老的制盐方法
挖盐井、取盐卤
晒盐池、收盐粒

The ancient method of salt manufacturing was well retained here----dig salt wells, pick salt brine, dry the salt ponds and charge salt particles. In the early morning every day, the villagers picked the salt brine from the salt wells near the river and then infunded it into the saltpans.

云起云灭
盐水被高原阳光蒸发
变为粒粒晶莹剔透的盐
盐池就搭建在台地上
用木头支撑而起
如同镜子一般闪闪发光

While the clouds forming and dispersing, the salt water was vapoured by the sunshine and strong winds on the highland. Then they became bits of crystal salt. Blocks of small salt ponds were put up on the terraces, supported by the woods, just like smooth and small mirrors glittering and glittering.
