Pastificio Rana is the most important Italian food brand in the fresh pasta sector and one of the most important food companies in the world for innovation and research.
Over the years, with the aim of diversifying the business and increasing brand awareness, Pastificio Rana has invested, in parallel with the production sector, in the world of catering.
In our long-standing relationship with the company, we have tackled various projects in different sectors.
In this case we were involved to propose a new visual concept of the restaurants that the company has opened within the food courts of many shopping malls throughout Italy.
The main concept we have formulated involves moving away from the principles of the "format", giving each of the restaurants its own character, intervening from time to time on the color palette, materials, finishes, lighting, methods of use of space.
We preferred a more rarefied distribution of the tables, more intimate situations, a more sober use of graphics and, in general, we worked to ensure that the overall sensation perceived by visiting the space was one of joyful quiet, fresh welcome and sober elegance.
During the summer of 2020, the first of the restaurants, son of the new concept, was completed at the CC Le Corti Venete, in Verona.
We have redesigned the distribution of spaces, modifying the access flows, making the restaurant much more open, permeable to light and movement.
We intervened by redefining the large surfaces facing the food court gallery, giving the modified counter a great plastic value that connects everything around it.
As a final treat we proposed, to reinforce the idea that each restaurant has its own identity, to design a custom seat. And Giostrina® was born, a tubular metal seat for 2 people, inspired by the trellis structures of playgrounds, deckchairs with woven PVC tube seat and swings.
A light and versatile structure that integrates seats and table, and which in this restaurant has been declined in 3 different color combinations.
