These sketches of buildings in the Foggy Bottom and West End neighborhoods of Washington, DC, were done during my lunchtime strolls. Some were done in one session, usually no longer than 30 minutes. Others were done in ten to twenty minute sessions over the span of several days. Each sketch was done with a cheap gel pen into a 4" x 6" sketchbook, which also opens up to 6" x 8" for spread sketches.
