Bardot

Hans Välimäki, one of Finland’s most accomplished chefs has since his Michelin-starred days been focusing more on the simpler, more casual but still delicious cuisine. Together with his wife Maria, their latest venture is an homage to the classic French and mediterranean kitchen. We named the restaurant Bardot, inspired by the one and only BB and to live up to its new name, we created a fun and rebellious brand identity with “je ne regrette rien” attitude.

Matisse meets street art

Bardot is inspired by the indulgence and beautiful scenes of the French Riviera and the works of painter and printmaker Henri Matisse. Accompanied with French scribbles with hidden messages, nostalgic 1960s collages and colourful sea creatures, the classic brasserie turns into a laid-back meeting spot for dinners, lunches or cocktails that does not take itself too seriously.
