When these three attributes come together in one product or experience in the hands of a skillful design team, the result is magic.

Delivering Useful, Usable & Desirable products in the environment of large organizations, intense time and market pressure, and in collaboration with leadership, engineering and marketing organizations is not something that many designers can do. I’ve demonstrated the traits to deliver impactful designs, as evidenced by a career filled with hugely successful products. These traits:

1. Leadership: enabling designers to deliver their best work by creating an environment of enthusiastic creativity and focus on the things that truly matter
2. The ability to grasp complex, multi-dimensional problems, and create simple and highly effective solutions
3. A relentless drive to innovate
4. A collaborative spirit, working respectfully with internal and external partners, while always driving design’s point of view forward
5. Most of all, constant focus on the user. I obsess over user experience, and ensure that design works together with user researchers and ethnographers to gain the insights that enable great experiences Read Less
