The client wished to restore an older, large industrial complex in the Primorska region in Slovenia. Most of the area is intended for storage, logistics and potential future production. A smaller segment of the existing prefabricated concrete building was assigned to offices and administration. The structure’s facade was peeled off, all the way to the bearing construction. New steel floors were added and a new facade was hung on the existing load bearing pillars. The organization of space and program facilities was divided into horizontal and vertical. The main entering lobby volume cuts in the building through three floors in height and provides a new staircase and elevator. The lobby functions as a dividing or interconnecting component among different branches within the company, though it also serves as a connecting element for socializing of employees. Remaining two parts of an establishment are divided into two primary platforms:  an open floor arrangement and a more classical disposition with glass enclosed offices.
