The project for the new house in Primorska region in Slovenia is based on the exploration of new typologies and development strategies.
The base concept of the project tries to explain the needs of an apartment habitants in the context of a new era. The notion of highly packed, dense living environment is disposed, so that the next step can take its rightful place with a fresh application of new approaches and techniques.
The composition of built volumes and extensive green areas offers many programmatic, spatial and other alterations, offering an individual arrangement, taking into consideration inhabitants’ lifestyle needs and pursuits. The system of blocks provides versatility rather than fixated architectural vision, somewhat like Lego blocks.
The main emphasis of the project is on the bond between the intimate individual space and the outside surroundings, though fulfilling this in a quiet manner. The building is enveloped in a series of thin perforated aluminium screens, allowing daylight to enter interiors, yet providing secluded, intimate inner spaces protected and endeared by the lush green surroundings.
