Urban Collages (1966 / 1971)

Motivation
Following the completion of the academic research “Formulation of a Constructive Hypothesis Based on a Search of the Integration of Building and Urbanistic Standards” personal doubts about the “irrational faith in reason”, motivated the need to express more freely the ambiguity of industrialization and high technology, expressing on one hand its attractiveness and beauty as in the series “Fluídica Urbana” (Urban Fluidity), and on the other hand its terrible threat as in the collages "Caution Radiation Area", "New York Keeps Growing", and "Miraflores".

Eight of the following collages are part of the Permanent Collection of MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art, New York). They were displayed in the MoMA exhibits "Latin America in Construction: Architecture 1955–1980" in 2015, and "Automania" in 2021.

The Museum of Modern Art, Nueva York).
