The Penguin Young Readers creative team, led by Ronnie Fairweather, re-imagined these early 20th century illustrations by Cicely Mary Barker for a 21st century audience. We flew to London and immersed ourselves in the original fairy property, then worked with their licensing agent, Creative Properties, to develop a brand extension vision presentation and create a new logo for Flower Fairies Friends. After determining which fairies to feature in the new style guide, we created art groups for each. The project also included a packaging style guide and style guide modules based on the Fairyopolis book series.
