Race for Hope is a 5k in Washington, D.C. that raises money to benefit brain cancer research. This race gives hope to those fighting brain cancer and their loved ones. Race for Hope needed various ads created to raise awareness for their annual race. They provided a photograph of a runner that they wanted to use for the ads. My agency proposed transforming this photo into an illustration so it would attract more attention and fit into various formats easily.

As the lead designer, my role was to create an original illustration based on the image provided by the client, and to create ads using this illustration. One of the out-of-home ads offered me an opportunity to animate the illustration. Other ads included: bus taillight, metro ad, and a print ad.
