Sodexo Ecomentum Brand Invention

Client:       Sodexo
Project:     Brand Invention

Sodexo is a world leader in remote site management, working to improve the quality of daily life for thousands of workers across 40 countries including oil and gas, mining and construction.

Reason for change
Sodexo looks after thousands of remote mining workers every day. From the moment they wake up, to the time they go to bed, Sodexo keeps them fed, watered, housed and healthy. The massive scale of the company’s operation means even small reductions in workers’ daily water and power consumption, or even the number of napkins they use at meal times, has major environmental benefits.

Change delivered
Getting workers to make big changes to their lifestyle is difficult. Especially when there is no financial disincentive to change their behaviour. This was the challenge for Sodexo.

The solution DIA Brands created was ‘Ecomentum’. In developing the brand we conducted lengthy international trademark searches of each naming idea to make sure Sodexo could own it globally.

The idea we wanted to convey to every worker through the brand name and identity design was that small changes in their daily routine, collectively add up to huge reductions in waste and greenhouse gas emissions. They can make a difference.

The tagline ‘Small changes. Big difference’ helps communicate this message.
