Extended Sessions Re-Branding (Event Series)

Following the two year anniversary of Youngbloods' monthly residency Extended Sessions in November 2018, the label and I agreed it was time to re-brand the event series, especially with the upcoming move from Halcyon to Cafe Erzulie. 

With Youngbloods forthcoming releases leaning largely in the avant-garde and ambient genres, I fashioned a simple neo-classical design and took the opportunity to incorporate and start experimenting with textures I find in my everyday life.

For each month I have supplied the original photo, the modified image prior to be traced, and the two versions of the final flyer. Variations made for Instagram Stories and Spotify have been omitted.

For the January 2019 edition, I took a photo at a drawer full of nuts while at a Tractor Supply over the winter holiday. I boosted the contrast as I did the month prior, but this time I smudged and warped the image before tracing it. 
For the February 2018 edition, I used a photo I took of an aged leather seat I found at Halcyon's Warehouse location, boosted the contrast to the extremes, traced it, and then used an airbrush for the background artwork.
