Context Artists, now IC Artists, is an agency for electronic musicians and DJs that push the envelope of experimental and experiential dance music. Prior to the industry being paralyzed by COVID19, I was hired to expand the agency's web presence beyond social media. To properly convey the unique cultural significance their roster represents I wanted to create a website that was both subtly interactive and easily navigable. I also wanted to ensure that the agency had the means to expand their content offerings beyond just a grid of the artists they represent. 

From a moving background gradient that is reactive to the position of the cursor, to animated capsules that rotate and unfold, to the ability to view the site in full color or a simplified black & white, the design is such that the information the user is seeking is never obfuscated by extraneous flourishes. Instead all ornamentation is designed to help orient and guide the user, whether they are on the site to learn more about their favorite artist, check out the latest tour dates, or to acquire promotional assets.
