Design and additional illustration modules featuring new illustration focused on a range of themes for the licensing program.
At the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Northampton, Massachusetts, we had the honor of being invited into Eric's studio space to collaborate with his licensing agent on seasonal theme art collections for his famous books, including The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Such an intimate view of his creation process inspired us to develop new illustrations in Eric’s signature style for our style guide modules. The process included auditing all of Eric’s current work, developing specific themes, adding complimentary illustrations, and creating six cohesive art modules. With every challenge we asked ourselves, “what would Eric do?” The art was well received internationally, especially in Japan where Eric’s work is very popular.
