MAXA U´Ka
Proyecto de identidad corporativa para una marca dedicada a la elaboracion y comercialización de prendas de vestir de alta calidad elaboradas por artesanas wixarika en la sierra Madre Occidental en México.
Maxa U´ka significa Venada Sabia en el dialecto Wixarika, un animal muy apreciado en esta cultura inrdígena. Se elabora una ilustración elaborada con lápices de grafito con el retrato de una artesana indígena, así como patrones con la representación de este animal en textiles y bordados para usarse en empaques, etiquetas y brochures. Buscamos reflejar un espíritu de sofisticación y elegancia, sin perder la belleza de la tradición indígena, con la finalidad de generar un producto final que refleje la belleza y fuerza de la cultura tradicional indígena.
La tipografia esta inspirada en los rótulos grabados en marmol de la sala de etnografía y culturas indígenas del museo Nacional de Antropología ubicado en la Ciudad de México.
Project of corporate identity for a brand dedicated to the elaboration and commercialization of high quality clothes elaborated by Wixarika Craftsman in the Occidental Mountains in Mexico.
Maxa U'Ka means wise deer in Wixarika dialect, a highly appreciate animal on their native culture. I'm elaborating an illustration with pencil sketch with the portrait of a native Craftsman, and adding patterns with the representation of this animal in textile and embroidery to use in packaging, labels and brochure. We're looking to reflect a sophisticated spirit and Elegance, without loosing the beauty of the native tradition, with the objective of generate a final product that reflects the beautiful and strength culture of the native tradition.
The typography was inspired in sign engraved in marble in the ethnography and native culture lounge in the National Museum of Anthropology located in Mexico City.
