Star Frog Jumpers

My first Unity project. Created for Drexel University’s STAR Scholar program, a research project program for freshman. I worked with a psychology professor, two graduate students, and my talented artist friend Valentina Feldman. The program lasted 10 weeks.
Star Frog Jumpers was a fun overlay for a standard psychological test that tests the cognitive abilities of mentally handicapped children. It’s a simple “connect the dots” exercise that has the child connecting by number, by letter, and then both in alternating order (1-A-2-B-etc). Due to Unity’s limited 2D capabilities at the time it was very difficult to create.

I did all the coding while Valentina did the art. My friend Ethan’s father, the Emmy Award winning Len Miller, provided the soundtrack.
We created lower fidelity versions to prevent distractions in lower functioning patients.
The generic version of the game without the fun frog overlay for any patient incapable of playing due to the visuals
