For the basic inspiration, I looked at the family crest examples on the Brophy Graphic design behance page. For the general outline of my crest, I looked at a crest outline image on google and tried my best to replicate it. For the color scheme, I took inspiration from the Ramsey family crest on a genealogy website. The logo in the center is based off of the Free Mason's logo.

The central logo is based off of the Free Mason's logo because both my great grandfather and my grandfather have been members of the Free Masons. I thought the logo looked cool and wanted it to be the central image in my crest. The IV stands for the 4 William Ramsey's in my family (I am the 4th). The R at the top simply stands for the Ramsey surname. I took the colors from the traditional Ramsey family crest that I found online.
