Deutscher Umweltpreis 2016
Since 2003, brandmission has been designing, realising and realizing the stage for the awarding of the German Environment Prize, which is handed over by the Federal President personally during the ceremony. Since 2009, the ceremonial act the award has been produced by brandmission as a main contractor. The German environmental prize of the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (the German Federal Environment Foundation) is the highest environmental award in Europe, with € 500,000. It has been awarded since 1993 for achievements which have decisively and exemplary contributed to the protection and conservation of our environment and will contribute to environmental improvements in the future. Prize winners in 2016 were Bas van Abel the developer and producer of the fairphone and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Angelika Mettke and Walter Feeß coming from the area of concrete recycling.
