Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis 2016
For the German Sustainability Award, brandmission has developed to repeated time a visually sophisticated set design this year, which presented a worthy framework for the event, which was attended by international stars and award winners. The technically and artistically elaborate stage design, where the award winners were "Oscar-like" presented with live pictures of the nominees, has required not only a carefully thought-out design but also a complex programming. The result was a fascinating set design, which was a perfect accompaniment to the various program items.
This year's event attracted around 1,200 invited guests from companies, municipalities, research, civil society and politics, including the President of the Federal Council, Malo Dreyer, the former Prime Minister of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Klaus Töpfer, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and the Federal Environment Minister Dr. Barbara Hendricks. Among the guests were celebrities such as Nicolas Cage, Jamie Cullum, and the German music band Fantastischen Vier.
The German Sustainability Award honours companies that combine exemplary economic success with social responsibility and the preservation of the environment and use sustainable action for further growth. Every year in the autumn many celebrities from Germany and abroad are welcomed at the festive gala at the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf. The prize, awarded since 2008, was created by 3Sat host Stefan Schultze-Hausmann. From the outset, brandmission has been on board, and since then it has been developing and adapting an annual changing stage, which supports the award winner artistically and thematically.
