Seb Lester ‘First Time Ever’ Mural film

Film and photography of Seb Lester's 'First Time ever' mural on Chester rd, London.

This was my second project featuring the work of all round type master/illustrator/designer/calligrapher Seb Lester, and features Seb painting his first street mural, inspired by 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' by Ewan MacColl.

The project was organized by Global Street art and the video features an exclusive mix of Maylight's"Beat of the Heart" by Chris Read.

The work was featured in VNA magazine, Booooooom.com and numerous other sites.

The Project was shot on the last weekend of August 2015, between Friday night and late Saturday night. It was edited on Sunday and launched the following week receiving over 75,000 views on Social media / Vimeo.
When we arrived on the Friday evening, a Van was parked right in front of the wall, blocking the projector, and the path of the cherrypicker. With only a couple of days to complete the project, we started knocking on doors to track down the driver.
Luckily he was found within the first five minutes, and was happy enough to re-park it.
Above: Photos from the weekend the mural was painted, with the final photo taken well into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Thanks to the amazing residents around Walthamstow who came and said hello. Global Street Art for organizing the project, Chris Read and Maylight for the music, and Seb Lester for inviting me to participate in this amazing project.
