Half.com is a subsidiary of eBay, in which sellers offer items at fixed prices, usually items that have a UPC, ISBN or other kind of SKU, rather than rare, old or collectible items. The items available on half.com are limited to books, textbooks, music, movies, video games, and video game consoles.

Design an Android app for the buyer experience in half.com is the first and major design project I took up in my contract with eBay India Development Center. Though there is already an iPhone app for half.com in the market, we wanted the visual and interaction design to be unique and not related to its iPhone counter part by any means. Half.com primarily a famous brand among college students and mostly younger user population, we wanted to provide them with an experience which appeals cool, looks simple and gets the task done in an easy way.

The carousal view of displaying the search results, swipe and scroll interactions on the product view page, crisp iconography and strong visual design paradigm is all an effort to make the experience of the app users delighted and make the app sticky.
