I conducted hundreds of interviews with diverse subjects as a journalist and covered a wide range of beats. I mostly concentrated in science, technology, engineering and health.
The skills I gained as a writer and interviewer were invaluable. I learned to research my subjects, ask the right questions, and analyze/synthesize the information in order to pick out the most important points for my stories.
Additionally, print and online pages were designed with the story in mind. In news, no page design is ever the same, because stories are never repeated.
