Through talking to elderly people at a care home I discovered they have a wealth of life experience and knowledge yet no one to share it with. They feel undervalued by society.
SOLUTION
Turn these people’s life stories into a tool for learning for younger generations. Aligned with the Penguin Books brand, Life Stories Learning is an initiative set up in local libraries across the UK. They are places where elderly people can come to share their life stories with the local community.
DIGITAL.
The spaces would house digital archives of thousands of life stories, the experience is continued online. People can search for topics, watch interviews and listen to stories.
