El Chilillo.
El Chilillo Tacos is a family owned business, located in Durango, Mexico. The name comes from the owner's family nickname 'Chilillo' which means 'Little Pepper' in Spanish.
The business whose thirty years of service has always been distinguished by a friendly and casual atmosphere, typical of a traditional Mexican taqueria, suffered from a lack of consistency in branding and an evident absence of an effective communications system that really conveyed and reflected the business core identity.
We took on the task to provide them with a visual identity system that helps them taking the leap needed to truly portray the qualities they are known for, and that also distinguishes them within the broad spectrum of businesses engaged in the same category.
We created a brand identity that effectively kneads different graphic styles with a limited but traditional color palette. The organic quality of the cursive logo and identity in general aims to heighten the manual and traditional processes carried out in the manufacture of products of El Chilillo.
We have developed a brand identity with pretty simple, honest and straightforward elements that denotes the affable character of its owners and the environment that the diner can expect in a business that does not intend to hide it’s rich background.
