These are a few photographs that I took while on a recent trip to visit friends and family in East Texas.  Kilgore is the Oil Capitol of East Texas and has a lot of landmarks that are perfect for photographing.  The Efurd Peach Orchard is located about an hour from Kilgore.  In the summer, the Freestone peaches are worth the drive and so is the homemade peach ice cream. Tyler, Texas is about 30 minutes from Kilgore and is known for their Azalea Trail and for their roses.

Kilgore, Texas- Synergy Park, Elder's Lake- This lake used to belong to my uncle's family.  When I was a child we spent a lot of time camping, fishing, and swimming on this lake.  The Elder family donated the land to the city and the lake is now part of Synergy Park.  This is a photo of my husband, and my best friend's husband, taking a walk around the lake.
