This project was an assignment in my Adobe Graphics and Illustration class. I had to use Illustrator to create four icons that represented scenes in any movie. The first photo shows a few screen shots of my work in progress. I discovered how helpful the Pathfinder can be and used it frequently. I also began playing around with using different colors to create shadows and dimension to some of my illustrations. I enjoyed this project and look forward to doing something similar with my students.
My finished icons represent four scenes from a movie that my family watches every year. It is a holiday favorite at our house. I looked up real images from the movie and captured some of the colors in those photos. I also used some of the photographs from the movie to help me figure out shapes and angles that I needed to complete this project.
