Postage Stamp Project

Postage Stamp Project
This project's aim was to create postage stamps for Hunger Action Month. In my research, I focused on Hunger Insecurity. I created a Mindmap and several thumbnails, all under specific themes: "Symbolism and Facts", "Food Gone to Waste", and "Trending".
Under "Symbolism and Facts", I wanted to show the statistic of '1 in 8 people go without food'.

"Food Gone to Waste" was simplified but not as attention grabbing.

"Trending" was a comment about social media influencers that feed the hungry for clout. Although this was on the nose, I was worried it might deter people.

After some editing, I decided to move forward with "Symbolism and Facts". I had to simplify the design, since it already looked very busy.
After digitizing the outline, I moved onto color and framing.

I chose the orange for the charity Feeding America and the green to nicely counterbalance the brightness of not just the orange, but the colors of the food items.
Then finally, I was asked to create both a staged mount and staged envelope mockups.
