This is a very new project, and I am incredibly excited to be a part of it. Kean University recently partnered with Ocean County College to bring quality education to the shore, and the partnership's success allowed Kean to add additional majors to the Ocean County campus each year since the program began. In 2010, Kean @ Ocean introduced a graphic design program. With all of the resources of the design program at Kean's main campus in Union available to students in the shore area, the program provides a wealth of opportunity, although unfortunately there has proven to be a surprising lack of interest.
All of the Identity students were asked to propose a few logos to help promote the program. Each student's proposed logos should work together in a series to allow the program to not subscribe to a single, exclusive logo.
My series combines both abstract and pictorial imagery. A nod to the shore area works as inspiration for the program's identity, although it does not define the design.
