Landscape In Motion — Chapter 1: RIVERS
Iceland (2020–2021)
Iceland (2020–2021)
Iceland is home to some of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring landscapes in the world, and among its most stunning natural wonders are the glacier rivers. These rivers flow through the Icelandic countryside, winding their way through valleys and canyons, and the water is unlike anything most people have ever seen before.
What sets these glacial rivers apart are their remarkable colors and textures, which are best viewed from the air. The rivers are fed by the melt water of glaciers, which carry minerals and sediments, coloring the water in bright and unusual colors. As the flow of the rivers decreases, sediment is deposited in the riverbed, leaving small islands of sand that cause the river channels to further divide and branch.
