I Wandered This World All Alone
Noch einmal jung sein; nicht, um etwas anders zu machen,
sondern noch einmal so richtig einsam zu sein.

Once more, I travelled along the coast in early spring. I started a week earlier this time, and remained abroad for about a month. I travelled alone, only had a chat about once but didn’t mind that (greetings to Bruno). Quite frankly, I wasn’t always in a good mood this time. Since the weather was kind of weird this year, I wasn’t able to photograph as much as I had hoped for. But looking back now, I must say that I still was successful and shouldn’t have complained that much while being on travel. Furthermore, it seemed that people increasingly get back to travel themselves, which frankly isn’t to my satisfaction since I like the impression of being all alone. Fortunately, still most of these images has been captured when no one else was nearby. It also has paid off to not rush from location to location but really give it a go, and wait for days if necessary. At least, sometimes. Frankly, I tried to photograph one certain beach for five or six days without the desired result after all this time. I guess, sometimes it is just like that. Maybe it even has to, to keep me trying. The journey home also was quite interesting. I mostly dispensed sleep, and drove hundreds of kilometers in a very tight time window. Also, I had birthday while being on the road. I can tell, these almost endless car rides are again and again a certain type of experience!

I might publish a little series later on, featuring only the long exposure images of the lighthouse during blue hour. I really liked the scenery and mood, and was pleased with the results. Furthermore, you might want to check out the already started series 'Where The Ancients Fell Asleep'.

(probably one of the best images I've captured in a while)
(series might be upcoming featuring only the photographs of this certain scenery)
