The assignment was to design a transerium for an old train station with seven rails. The building was designed to deal with several flows of people and traffic.

 

The main volume of the building is the red box, and is divided by openings in which the different escalators for the trainstops are attached. The main volume allows people to transfer from the different trainstops or exit/ enter the station.

 

Second there is an orange pathway crossing the volume, this pathway functions as a waiting place for people, and ends in a restaurant and some small shops.

 

Third and last pathway crossing the main volume is the yellow path that crosses the top floor. Providing enough parking spaces, and a number of shops, this is pathway is mainly created for people crossing the station from one side to the other.

 

This all resulted in a dynamic shape, with an interesting exterior as well as a dynamic exterior shape.
