My entire illustrative approach was inspired by the motion picture film ‘seven’, where all the seven deadly sins were acted out according to their titles. As a series of grim murderous acts, i adopted a mixed Media, photomontage, collage, printmaking & sketching approach to complete my 7 art pieces.

Collaging & photmontaging in some areas, I included cropped renderings of classical fine art paintings from earlier centuries. I believed that the true sins were portrayed undisrupted and pure through paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, Louis Jean Francois Lagrenee, Goya or Fransisco Jose to name but a few.

Starting off with an array of self made portrait HB lead sketches, textures and backgrounds, I scanned every infintesimal element into photoshop where i worked layer upon layer until reaching a visual verdict.
