ZED [gender issue]

ZED [gender issue]
Zed is a monthly periodic publication that gives voice to Generation Z and what they have to say about social, environmental and cultural issues. Focusing on those who were born between 1995 and 2010 and are the first truly digital natives.
In a generation that does not imagine living in a disconnected world and does not see barriers to sharing, and perhaps for this reason they understand and respect the difference more easily, and do not feel the need to create labels, contesting all stereotypes and valuing a fluid and indefinite identity.
They are authentic and spontaneous, exposing their weaknesses and intimacies without fear, valuing transparency and living in constant overexposure. Consequently, they felt the need to create a particular and universal mode of communication, which implies the use of memes and emojis.
Therefore, Zed seeks to reflect the distinctive values of this generation: technology, fluidity, inclusion, spontaneity and diversity.

Gender issue is the first issue of Zed, focusing on the issue of gender, it intends to expose the way in which generation Z manifests itself and thinks about the subject. Especially how Z’s look at gender binary and the need to define them.
Zed shows how the issue is reflected and expressed through fashion, music, art and entertainment across the generation.
The idea of fluidity is what most defines this number, meeting what happens with the Z’s, more than in any previous generation, when it comes to the gender issue.
