Semaphore
Semaphore is a project exploring symbols, codes and semantics. Whilst initially looking at the way codes can be visualised graphically, the project blossomed into an ideographic form of communication for the contemporary designer. Bringing together elements of surprise, beauty and optimism: shapes and symbols combine with colour to create original meaning.
The placement of symbols allows you to compose a variety of messages and designs, communicating optimistic messages that can be built on with more symbols in the future.
To coincide with the London Olympics 2012 I was given the opportunity to paint the Shoreditch Art Wall with optimistic messages for the world.
